Australia Student Visa fee has Increased

The Australian Government has announced a significant increase in student visa fees that will effective immediately. These significant changes will affect From July 1, 2024.The international Student Visa (Subclass 500) Fee has risen to AUS$1,600from AUS$710.

This increase will significantly affect international students and their family members.

From July1, 2024, visitor visa and temporary graduate visas holders are banned from applying for a student visa while onshore.

Australian government brought these changes to help restore integrity to Australian international education system and create a migration system which is fairer, smaller and better able to deliver for Australia.

In addition to this substantial fee increase, the government also confirmed other several measures which come into force form From July 1, 2024, like Temporary graduate visas (subclass 485) have been shortened (2-3 years, exception apply)and age eligibility reduced to 35 years (exception apply).

Australian Government want that Temporary graduate visa holders apply for skill migration to stay in Australia. Government has a further plan to increase the wages for skilled workers.
