About Skilled Regional Visa (Subclass 191):
This visa does commence on 16 November 2022.
This is a permanent visa. It lets you stay in Australia indefinitely, enroll in Australia's public health care scheme, if eligible, apply for Australian citizenship.
This visa is for people who have lived, worked and studied in designated regional area of Australia on a eligible visa namely Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (subclass 494) visa.
Eligibility of Skilled Regional Visa (Subclass 191):
Applicant must hold an eligible visa
- Primary applicants must have held an eligible visa (subclass 491/494)for at least 3 years before they apply.
- Primary applicants must provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for three income years out of the five years of their eligible visa (There is no minimum income requirement).
- Applicants must have complied with the conditions of their eligible visa when in Australia (This requirement applies for the whole period they hold the visa/visas).
- Both primary and secondary applicants must have meet health & character requirements.
There is no minimum income requirement for the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191).
