Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allows applicants aged between 18 and 30 years old holding a passport from an eligible country to enter Australia for 12 months for work and holiday in Australia.
There is an annual limit or 'cap' on the number of first Work and Holiday visas available for each eligible county in each program year (1 July to 30 June).
Applicants also must not have previously entered Australia on a Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) or Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) and must meet Education, English, Australian government health and character requirement also some country passport holder will require to have a letter of support.
Visa holder can do any kind of work in Australia and do study up to 4 months.
This visa also cannot be extended but visa holder may eligible for Second and Third Work and Holiday Visa.
First Work and Holiday Visa holder could get second Work and Holiday visa if they do at least 3 months of specified subclass 462 work while holding First Work and Holiday visa.
On or after 1 July 2019 second Work and Holiday visa holder could get Third Work and Holiday visa if they do at least 6 months of specified subclass 462 work while on their second Work and Holiday visa.
Visa holder must not be accompanied by dependent children also can’t work more than 6 months for the same employer.
